Happy Easter!
I told you I would be back around Easter! What has been going on around the digi scene? Looks like the Scrapper Awards are coming to DST soon, always some good controversy with those. National Scrapbook day coming hopefully some good sales.
Amanda was "brave" just in time to avoid a legal mess. Typical MO of all the other digi crooks like Ashley Olsen, Joedee, and Tandika. They disappear and or deny until they are totally backed into a corner by all the evidence, and when it looks like they might come up on some real consequences, they "confess" and beg for forgiveness and claim they're leaving digi for good.
has anyone contacted memory mixer? If they knowingly "employ" a pirate ie: someone who undeniably illegally use copyrighted material, couldn't they be sued?
I personally think pinkcat studio and amanda rockwell should split the cost of the lawsuit and sue Dykans ass off. Actually, I think EVERYONE that has proof that Dykan copied them should go in together for an attorney and take care of this for good. Its obvious until she actually gets punished she is going to keep on going. Hell, I would donate to the cause. I'm so sick of this shit.
IF she had come back as LilyAnne and was totally reformed and doing good not copying or pirating I would feel bad for her. Just because it would have shown she was remorseful and turned herself around but the bitch started with the same ol tricks a month into her new alias!
I had already sent the link to the DST thread to Memory Mixer earlier in the day, but really, what else can I do? I feel a vested interest since I design for them too, but since I am not really personally involved I don't want to just look like a trouble maker to them, kwim? They had removed Amanda the first time around (a few months ago), but then I saw like a month ago that she was back, so I am not sure how she manged to pull that off? This whole thing is really just starting to tick me off!
Anyhoo, I plan to take the weekend off from the drama and try to get some scrapping/shopping done. Happy NSD peeps.
Kami is a bit too "omg top secret" for me. This isn't espionage, it's scrapbooking. What could that email possibly have said that she can't legally talk about?
I just bought a Wacom fun Tablet a few months ago. Who do I contact about getting a refund from them since this package came with Amanda Dykan "stuff" ?
I am just an average scrapper, not a designer. I am not active on any CT's, although I have been in the past. I am not active in any "scrapbook community", I don't post on the message boards, and I don't post my layouts online anymore. I read the Digi boards for entertainment, and am constantly amazed at what people share on the internet. I freely admit to reading the scrapbook smack blogs, it is a guilty pleasure.
